A Look Beyond the Name Peptide – For Bodybuilding

In order to understand what good things a peptide can do for you when you are in bodybuilding, you need to appreciate first what they are and how they work. Scientists have long shown that peptides are critical components of a cell. They regulate the functioning of a cell and subsequently this means that they play a primary role in the health of a person. A peptide is made up of between 2 and 50 amino acids. More than 50 amino acids make up a protein.

Young people do have the special benefit of getting healed fast when they get injured or when their body cells and tissues get ripped. This is because their bodies continue to produce and release the Growth Hormone Release Hormone (GHRH) and Growth Hormone Release Peptide (GHRP).

The benefit of having GHRH and GHRP

For a long time, people who were not well informed about the proper functioning of the human body or cells for that matter propagated the idea that as a person grows older, they stop producing growth peptide and hormones. Such would be critical in the repair of the body, especially when you have undergone a physical exertion.

Contrary to what many people were made to believe, the body does not stop producing the GHRH or GHRP. The body becomes less and less capable of releasing the pulse necessary to make the body release the growth hormone. Oftentimes, in the case of a normal adult, the pulse will be weak or infrequent which makes the hormone released to the system inadequate to enable you to engage in rigorous activities such as bodybuilding as and when you want.

How do these hormones work?

The most popular peptide used in bodybuilding is GHRH-6. When it is used, it helps in the release the required amount of growth hormone. There is a lot of information tossed around regarding the use of GHRH. In fact, a lot of information found today is generated more by the business and anecdotal sector than the scientific world. This makes it hard to verify some of the information you find online.

Still, the use of GHRH is highly dependent on the purity of the peptide as well as the body of a bodybuilder. However, in most instances, you will find that a dosage of 100mcg is sufficient. The GHRH is designed to target the pituitary gland hence forcing the release of the important hormone pulse. The GHRP is therefore responsible for the magnitude of the pulse that is released by the pituitary gland. While GHRH is also accredited with the release of a pulse, albeit a weak one, it is solely responsible for the secretion of the necessary peptide into the body.

The GHRP is preferred because it makes the body release the hormone as and when you want. When you take it, there will be a surge in the GH release. On the other hand, the GHRH only releases the hormone when the body has signaled for its own pulse. This means that taking GHRH at the wrong time will amount to nothing much.
